In this project 14 partners from 9 different countries are working on an open BIM-based holistic collaborative design and simulation platform, a related holistic design methodology, an energy system information model and an integrated information management framework for designing energy-efficient buildings and their optimal energetic embedding in the neighbourhood of surrounding buildings and energy systems utilising big open BIM.
In the given video lecture the project partners present the individual steps of the Urban Design process in a newly developed design methodology. This includes amongst others a newly developed energy system design and cost estimation for life cycle assesment (LCA) and life cycle costing (LCC). In addition a new method for the verification of design decisions with the help of verifiable design checks is shown.
Students of architecture, civil and automation engineering as well as facility management of all experience levels are encouraged to participate.
